We are pleased to announce the program for the 1st Digital Publics Conference and that registration for non-presenters is now open.
We are pleased to announce the program for the 1st Digital Publics Conference, which will take place on 21-23 October 2026 at the UZH Digital Society Initiative.
The conference will bring together scholars from around the world to discuss the transformation of public life through digital technologies. Panels will cover topics such as Online Political Behavior, Platform Governance, Content Moderation, Digital Authoritarianism and Control among others.
A highlight of the conference will be the keynote address by Chris Bail, Professor of Sociology, Computer Science, Political Science, and Public Policy at Duke University, titled “Bridging Divides with Generative AI: A Field Experiment with NextDoor” on Thursday, October 22nd.
