Valerie Sticher

Dr. Valerie Sticher is a senior researcher at the Center for Security Studies at ETH Zurich. She combines qualitative and computational methods to study the dynamics of armed conflict. Her current research focuses on how satellite data can support conflict research and humanitarian action. Before joining ETH Zurich, Valerie was based at the University of Zurich, Johns Hopkins University, AI Singapore, and Leiden University, and held practitioner roles in peace mediation support and with a UN peacekeeping mission.
